As a law firm that supports immigrants, we’re reminded each day about the impact of immigrants in our communities. The immigrant experience is synonymous with innovation, and we enjoy hearing stories from immigrants and the children of immigrants about their efforts to live the American Dream.

Scholarship Winner: Maria Rubio
Biography: Maria was born in Colombia and moved to the USA 8 years ago. She attends a high school near Fort Lauderdale and is the oldest of 5 children. Maria is the President of the Math National Honor Society Mu Alpha Theta and aspires to become a Chief Financial Officer. In college, she plans to double or triple major in Finance, Economics, and Statistics.
Reaction Statement: “I am beyond honored to have been chosen as this year’s scholarship recipient. This scholarship will enable me to have financial support while furthering my education. This was the first scholarship I ever applied for. As I continue throughout my journey, I am excited to be able to gain more experience and knowledge.
